September 2009 Events

The Executive Team of Faith Lutheran has invited you to consider if God might be leading you to make a special August gift to underwrite an ongoing “ministry need” for our congregation.

Please read the letter sent to your home for details. Extra copies of the letter and ministry need commitment cards are on the Entry Way table.

The request is that these gifts be in addition to your current pledge and given by the end of August, or as soon as possible. $1012 has come in so far, and we thank those who have gone an “extra mile.”

It certainly does not feel like fall yet, but as our children return to school and the leaves begin to
show some colors, Faith Lutheran returns to a full schedule of worship and praise.

And with that the Mission Resource Team will begin our annual pledge drive entitled Celebrate God's Abundance beginning early October.

This five week educational and thought provoking campaign will feature weekly small group encounters, prayer groups and Sunday Temple Talks culminating with Celebrate God's Abundance Pledge Sunday on November S'".

We will have a guest speaker and will celebrate the day with a catered brunch between the services.

As God has given us everything we need and everything we have, we will have the opportunity to give back to God on this special. day. Stay tuned for more specific information.
