The Business Committee does the accounting for the church and see that the business of the church is in order.
We continue to make improvements to our accounting system, allowing us to provide
Church leaders with better, more consistent reporting of our financial situation.
We are also blessed with a group of dedicated folks who faithfully count our offering
every Sunday, record the proceeds accurately, and deliver the deposit to the Bank.

God and this community of faith has placed "the future" into our hands.
With prayerful discernment we look forward to providing a program where more and more children and families can be encountered by Christ.
From Sunday Morning Live, to Confirmation, to camping at Mt. Cross and Vacation Bible School, Faith Lutheran has been busy living the mission of "passing on the faith".
Our success would not be possible without our many dedicated teachers, parents, families and children. Thank you so very much to our wonderful
Sunday Morning Live teachers, musicians and helpers!
The Holy Spirit works through our faithfulness and love to pass on the faith.
Mission Statement: The Good News Team invites and welcomes all.

On the third Sunday of each month there are healing prayer ministers available during communion. The healing prayer that is used is a liturgical prayer. The person asking for prayer may give specific requests for themselves or someone else if they so desire. |
Prayer requests are kept confidential. These “ministers” are called and trained. Each “minister” serves usually 3 to 4 times a year, at only one service. |
This is a vital ministry that serves "the least of these", where we are promised we will meet Jesus!
Faith Lutheran members commit their time to serving meals to the homeless at the Torres Shelter in Chico and the Jesus Center.

As part of Faith Lutheran's standing budget, we continue to respond to individuals and families in need of food to supplement their monthly budget. We thank members of the congregation who so generously donate food to meet these needs. |
While we try to link people up with community resources to meet their needs, it is nice to have a discretionary fund that can respond to emergent needs that rise during the course of the year. |

We are building a loving, supportive, and empowering relationship with our Rwandan sisters and brothers.Pastor Elidard supports two parishes in and around Kagitumba, and we, in turn, support Pastor Elidard and these parishes with funding on a quarterly basis. Our contribution to education in Rwanda comes in the way of providing the tuition for students in Kagitumba, and seminary expenses for Pastor Elidard's son. |
We thank the members of the congregation who have individually committed to the education of the seven students. But perhaps most exciting was Pastor Elidard's visit to Faith Lutheran Church in October 2009.We were blessed by is presence and have faith that the connection he made with individuals and groups in the church will enrich our relatioon as we explore how to deppen and grow this mutual ministry.
