Stop in during your lunch hour or take time at mid-day to study next Sunday’s Bible readings.

Help the pastor get a head start on sermon preparation while you get a head start on listening to Sunday’s sermon.

This is a wonderful opportunity to incorporate the lectionary
into one’s personal life and the life of the Faith community.

We use the contemplative prayer method of
Father Thomas Keating.

pastorpeg@sbcglobal.net

Newcomers to the practice, as well as those with experience, are welcome.

A brief reading is offered, followed by a 20 minute contemplative sit using the Centering Prayer method.

Next, Sunday’s Gospel is read as lectio divina (reading the word with the heart),
followed by voluntary naming of what stood out to each listener.

 We close at 5:00 pm.

When there are newcomers Pastor Peg will briefly teach the practice of Centering Prayer.

You may join us any week - newcomers are always welcome.

As a faith community we have the privilege and the responsibility to pray for each other and the life of the church.

This group meets once a week to pray for the members of the church who are listed at the bottom of the prayer list in the Sunday bulletin and for any specific prayer concerns and/or praises they wish to share.

A post card is sent to each person(s) on the list telling them they are being prayed for by the group and that they will be contacted by one of the group members who will be personally praying for them during the week.

We would like to encourage anyone who feels led by thee Lord to be a part of our group.

People who are unable to leave their homes but could make calls are encouraged to join us and pray at home.

We will supply the name(s) by phone.

Training is provided.
