Faith Lutheran has a
unique relationship with the Lutheran synod of Rwanda.
European
Lutherans send missionaries to Africa during the 19th century.
As a
results there are many African Lutherans.
Through our local
Sierra-Pacific Synod, Faith Lutheran, Chico and the Kagitumba Parish in
Rwanda have become companion congregations.
Pastor Elidard is the
pastor of the Kagitumba Parish.

In 2006 Bishop
Mullen of the Sierra-Pacific Synod took a delegation
to visit Rwanda, and our own Pastor Peg and Macy Kelly, a member of Faith
Lutheran, were part of that delegation.
