“Here we go a-caroling” around the neighborhood! |
|
Everyone is invited and encouraged to dress up in their Santa hats or festive woolens and come out for an evening of community outreach thru music. We will meet at the church at 6 p.m. on Sunday night, December 21, and from there go into our Faith neighborhood singing Carols and spreading cheer. Don’t worry, we will have wonderful choir members in each group to help lead the singing and keep us in tune! This is a great way to let our neighbors know who we are at Faith and a great way for us to reach out to them. |
Light refreshments including hot chocolate and cider will be provided by the Evangelism team. Please bring flashlights and wear warm clothes and sturdy shoes. We plan to walk the neighborhood for about an hour or hour and a half at the most. If you are interested in participating, please write down “caroling” on the back of your worship card or let the Church Office know. |

To help us deepen our reflections on the Cross there will be art stations in the courtyard throughout the morning where you can make crosses and learn about the various forms (Jerusalem cross, Celtic cross…). |
There will also be opportunity to light prayer candles at the foot of a cross in the sanctuary before and after you receive Communion. The cross is the central symbol for Christianity because it expresses the depths of God’s love and its transformative power. Life overpowers death at the life-giving cross! Thanks be to God! |
